EIB signs E5P Funding Agreements for Ukraine Higher Education and Kryvyi Rih District Heating projects

On 7 March 2018, Grant Funding Agreements were signed for two E5P projects to be implemented by the EIB: Ukraine Higher Education and Kryvyi Rih District Heating.  The E5P grant of EUR 10 million will help to improve energy efficiency measures in state university buildings across Ukraine.  The second grant of EUR 6.4 million will co-finance renovation of district heating systems in Kryvyi Rih which will benefit approximately 150,000 consumers.  The expected CO2 decrease is approximately 55,000 tonnes p/a for both projects.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from Ukraine’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services as well as representatives of E5P contributors and Implementing Agencies.
