Rebuilding Ukraine's heating and power infrastructure – greener and better
Date : 07-04-2025
Critical infrastructure in Ukrainian cities has been repeatedly and deliberately targeted. Among the targets was Kremenchuk’s main plant, which had provided heat and power to 80% of the city.
On April 1st, E5P joined the 'Nefco Green Recovery Programme for Ukraine’ event in Helsinki attended by Mayors from the Ukrainian cities of Lubny, Lutsk, Lviv, Khmelnitsky and Kremenchuk. The E5P grant of EUR 6.1 million was signed to construct a new biofuel boiler in the Rakivka district of Kremenchuk, which will provide efficient and sustainable heating for 25,000 people (including 3,500 displaced people).
