Lighting the way forward in Ganja

Street lighting can account for up to 40% of a city’s energy use.
With support from an E5P grant and an EBRD loan, more than 80% of street lights in Ganja are being upgraded to LEDs with advanced control systems. This investment will provide better lighting and safer streets for residents, while making operation and maintenance more efficient.
The environmental benefits are significant – the project is expected to cut nearly 5,000 tons of CO₂ each year, equivalent to taking 2,750 cars off the road.
This is E5P’s first project in Azerbaijan, and is paving the way for future investments.
