€25.8 million in new contributions

Last Friday the EBRD offices in London hosted E5P’s Annual Assembly – as well as reviewing completed projects and planning for the future, our donors and partners announced and signed €25.8m in new support for E5P countries. These contributions will help modernise local infrastructure, strengthen energy resilience and expand the impact of E5P projects across the region.

Finland signed a new €140K contribution for Moldova to support municipal modernisation, strengthen the energy sector and back Moldova’s EU path. Thank you to Sari Lehtiranta, Deputy Director, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Sweden announced €19.2M in new support to E5P countries: €16.5M for Ukraine and €2.72M for Moldova. Thank you Sida and Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs for continued partnership, helping citizens access greener and better services.

Ireland has confirmed €1.28M for Ukraine via E5P, supporting resilient municipal services and energy infrastructure and helping Ukraine’s EU path. Thanks to Dr Paul Ryan, Director, Ireland DeptCEE, Department of Finance Ireland.

Slovakia announced €600K in new contributions to E5P, supporting environmental protection and green transition across the region. Thank you to Iveta Lukasova, Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, for strengthening regional cooperation.

Norway pledged €4.25M for Moldova via E5P to advance energy efficiency and energy security. Thanks to Andreas Karlberg Pettersen, Director, Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.

Poland announced new contributions: €234K for Ukraine and €117K for Moldova, supporting energy and development challenges. Presented by Aleksandra Piatkowska, Director, Ministerstwo Finansów.
