Powering learning in wartime

Date : 15-04-2025

The wail of air raid sirens and emergency power cuts are regular interruptions to lessons for Ukrainian school children. Despite talks about peace, Russian attacks continue – including in Dnipro, where a drone strike late last month killed four and injured more than 20 others.

With the help of E5P grant top-ups, we are helping the city install bomb shelters, generators and boilers in 38 schools and kindergartens – helping children in Ukraine keep learning, even in the shadow of war.

This urgent support is part of a wider effort to strengthen energy resilience across almost 100 public buildings in the city, co-financed by the EBRD and the CIF Clean Technology Fund.
