Grant approved! Safe housing for displaced families in Ukraine

Date : 18-08-2025

Kropyvnytskyi in central Ukraine has become a hub for people who fled the war, including over 600 from Bakhmut. Many live in temporary shelters or with relatives.

A €4.2 million E5P grant will transform an old municipal dormitory here into safe, energy-efficient homes for 350 people.

The building will use renewable energy, modern materials, and water-saving systems, cutting energy use and CO₂ emissions.

Led by Nefco with Kropyvnytskyi City Council, this project gives displaced families stability and a place to rebuild their lives.

The project is part of Nefco's Green Recovery Plan, helping Ukraine rebuild with energy-efficient, sustainable solutions.
